Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Racing Preview – April 27, 2012

Bel-Ray News Release
For decades professional racers around the world have experienced the performance advantages that Bel-Ray powersports lubricant provide. This weekend Bel-Ray’s professional racers will be competing in MotoGP, World Motocross and Supercross competitions.
MotoGP
The Bel-Ray sponsored Power Electronics Aspar team comes to the Jerez Circuit in the South of Spain confident that they can provide a strong finish. Team riders Randy DuPuniet and Aleix Espargaro both raced to top 15 finishes at the first round in Qatar, and their familiarity with the Jerez circuit should prove helpful for this weekend’s event. The team had good results in winter testing at Jerez and team rider DePuniet expects to be the first of the CRT bikes in the standings at the checkered flag. He spoke about lacking some confidence in Qatar due to track characteristics but in his words “it should be a different scenario at Jerez.” Teammate Espargaro added, “I am very motivated for this weekend. We were faster than our rivals at Jerez during the IRTA tests so we'll be looking to confirm that this weekend." Coming into Jerez, DePuniet is ranked 13th and Espargaro 15th in the points standings.

Moto 2
The Moto2 series continues this weekend in Jerez, Spain. This will mark the home round for the Bel-Ray backed Mapfre Aspar team. Both team riders Toni Elias and Nico Terol have won events at the popular Spanish circuit. Despite struggling in the opening round in Qatar both riders come to their home Grand Prix confident of their abilities and are aiming for podium positions. Elias called the Jerez circuit his favorite on the Grand Prix tour with special memories of past victories and a unique atmosphere. He added that he was feeling positive for the event. Terol explained that the track has always been good to him in the past and that the combination of fast and slow sections that really suit his riding style. Following round 1 of racing, Elias is 13th and Terol is unranked in the overall season’s standings.
Moto 3
Bel-Ray sponsored Bankia Aspar joins the rest of the World Championship series in Jerez, Spain this upcoming weekend. For the 26th consecutive year the series comes to this famous racetrack known to the local motorcycle fan as “The Cathedral”. With the large crowd expected winning this event is a must for every Spanish rider. Both team riders, Hector Faubel and Alberto Moncayo, hail from Spain and despite struggling at round 1 in Qatar, they are confident of a top finish in Jerez. The team made several changes to the set-up and engine performance in hopes of providing the riders the extra advantage necessary for a top finish. Faubel spoke about the changes and the teams ability to react quickly to issues, calling them the best team in the championship. He added that they “need to keep working hard to achieve our objective of podium finishes." When asked about how it would be for him to win in front of his home country, Moncayo said, “This is the race every Spanish rider wants to win but as you can imagine for a local rider such as myself it would be extra special. I'll be giving my best to make it happen on Sunday." After the opening round Faubel is ranked 12th and Moncayo 14th in the world championship point’s standings.
World Motocross
Round 2 of the FIM World Motocross Series continues this weekend at the Monterostao Circuit in Fermo, Italy. Both MX1 and MX2 classes will be in action and Bel-Ray racers will be on hand competing. Coming off their excellent first and third place overall finishes last weekend in Bulgaria, Tommy Searle and Joel Roelants of the Bel-Ray sponsored Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit team, are considered top contenders for a podium this weekend. The duo traded wins in Bulgaria, a trend they hope to continue on Sunday at the Italian circuit. The Bel-Ray entry in MX1 class action, Team CP377 Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit, also had success last weekend in Bulgaria. After winning the opening moto in a dominant manner, Christophe Pourcel, settled for second in moto 2 and second overall while teammate Sebastien Pourcel overcame a disappointing fifteenth place in moto 1 to score a strong sixth place moto 2 finish, food for a tenth place overall finish. In the World Championship points standings Christophe Pourcel is currently ranked fifth and Sebastein is ranked fifteenth in the MX1 class while in the MX2 class points standings Searle is ranked second and Roelants is third.
AMA Supercross
As the AMA Monster Energy Supercross series draws to a close Bel-Ray’s teams continue to compete each weekend looking for the top spot on the podium.
With all four original Dodge/ Sycuan Casino/ Hart and Huntington/ Bel-Ray racing team riders, Josh Hill, Josh Hansen , Ivan Tedesco and Kyle Partridge still out due to injuries suffered this season, fill in riders Kyle Regal and Tyler Bowers will be in Salt Lake City to represent the team. Last weekend, at Century Link Field, in Seattle, Washington, Bowers finished 16th and Regal was 17th after both riders experienced crashes in the main event. Coming into the open air Rice-Eccles Stadium this weekend in Salk Lake City, Utah, weather and the altitude can sometimes cause issues with bike setup and racer preparation. The thin mountain air will cause the bikes to have less power, something that is critical on the start. With that in mind Bowers spent time this week practicing starts, something that he hopes will pay dividends on Saturday night. “It is critical that you get out front in these 450-class races,” said Bowers. “I wasn’t very good out of the gate in Seattle and it cost me a bunch of spots” he added. Regal confirmed Bowers feelings of a critical start by saying “as soon as that gate drops you just pin it and go like heck.” With only 2 rounds left in the series both riders are expecting to leave Salt Lake City with good results.
The West Coast Lites series continues on Saturday night for Bel-Ray sponsored Team Rockstar Energy Racing Suzuki. After a disappointing main event last weekend in Seattle Martin Davalos is looking to rebound and close out the series with a podium finish. Despite competing up front early in the main event, Davalos fell over in a corner and had trouble restarting his bike. He charged back to a 14th place finish. Teammate Jason Anderson overcame a poor start to work his way through the field to an eventual 6th place finish. With only the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas rounds remaining top finishes are necessary to cement their positions in the points series standings.

Pro Taper News Release
Corona, CA – Pro Taper would like to congratulate Star Valli Rockstar Yamaha’s Ryan Sipes on returning to the top step of the podium. Expect Ryan to build on this momentum and continue to put his Pro Taper equipped Yamaha out front at the remaining Supercrosses, as well as this summer’s Motocross championship.
Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac had an eventful night, but still managed to finish ahead of championship rivals and take back the West Coast Lites series lead. Eli currently sits four points ahead with two rounds left. Do not expect Tomac to ease up until the final checkered flag falls in Las Vegas.

Hyundai and Rhys Millen reunite, will return to Pikes Peak with new RWD racer, Genesis Coupe
Filed under: Motorsports, Hyundai, Racing

Last September, Hyundai confirmed that it was exiting all of its motorsports programs in North America. That left Rhys Millen Racing without a title sponsor for its Formula Drift and Global RallyCross Championship series challengers. It also looked to have meant the end of a partnership that last year resulted in a record-setting run at Pikes Peak when Rhys Millen established the new benchmark for a run up the Colorado mountain in a production-based race car.
Hyundai clarified that September report by saying it was "reconsidering our continued involvement in Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, having achieved the world record in a Hyundai Genesis Coupe this year." The return is official, with Hyundai saying it is going back to the peak with Millen and two cars, one of them a "purpose-built unlimited class rear-drive," the other being the Hyundai Genesis Coupe-based racer that set last year's record in the time attack two-wheel-drive class.
Hyundai wants to show off the strength of its engineering, so the unlimited car will have something like 900 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque while using the production block, cylinder heads, bearings and accessories of its Lambda V6 engine. You can read more about the effort in the press release below, and click the image above for an enlarged view of what's coming.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert Welcomes Monster Energy SX’s Return to Salt Lake City

Monster Energy Supercross - Photos by Feld Motor Sports - News Release
SALT LAKE CITY (April 26, 2012) – Utah Governor Gary Herbert, along with President & CEO of the Utah Sports Commission Jeff Robbins, welcomed the return of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, today, hosting a pre-race conference from Rice-Eccles Stadium. Joining Herbert and Robbins on the stage was TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Honda’s Chad Reed, Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Justin Brayton and Trey Canard, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Broc Tickle.
“We are excited to have Monster Energy Supercross back here in the great state of Utah,” exclaimed Herbert. “This is an event we look forward to hosting in Utah. There is a tremendous amount of support that goes into the event and this is just another example why Utah is the state of sport. Our sport’s segment in Utah is helping our economy grow in a significant way and market Utah as being a great place to live.”
“As you look at the economic footprint, now in our eight year hosting this event, it’s approaching $75 million towards the economic impact and providing almost over $20 million of media promotional value,” said Robbins. “We are simply thrilled to have all the support we do with this event and are excited to have supercross back in Salt Lake City.”

Reed and Canard entered the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross season as two of the title favorites after both competitors were part of the five-rider group that made up the most competitive season of all time one year ago. Reed took an early win at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, and was going bar-to-bar with eventual champion Ryan Villopoto atop the Supercross Class standings before suffering season-ending injuries in an accident at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Despite being forced to step away from competition, Reed has still held a strong presence at the races, primarily by becoming an additional member of the SPEED broadcast team.
“This season was meant to be such an amazing one for us,” said Reed. “The season started out great, and I was in good shape for the championship but disaster struck in Dallas, and I had a crash that got me. It’s unbelievable to think the top-six guys from last season are on the sideline. I’ve shared a lot of great memories here in Salt Lake City, so to not be racing here is a bummer.”
Canard suffered an injury prior to the opening race of the championship, forcing him to miss the first two weeks of action. Upon returning at Los Angeles, Canard was a victim of yet another crash, ultimately removing him from competition for all of the 2012 season.

“It’s really unfortunate what happened earlier in the season,” said Canard. “It’s amazing to be here right now. You try not to think about injuries, but it happened and I need to move forward from here. Bottom line is that I’m thankful to be here and my doctors are optimistic with my return to racing.”
Brayton has been one of the bright spots of the second half of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross season. He has garnered four podium finishes in the past six races and is arguably one of the hottest riders in the Supercross Class coming into Salt Lake City. With two races remaining, Brayton looks to continue to carry the flag for Team Honda Muscle Milk and potentially break through for his first career win.
“Salt Lake City is one of my favorite stops on the supercross schedule,” said Brayton. “The past couple weeks have been good for me. I’ve gotten great results and it’s exciting to be in shape for locking in second place. I hope I can get it done here.”
Tickle is in the midst of his rookie season in the Supercross Class, just one year after capturing the Western Regional Supercross Lites Class title. While he has experienced some ups and downs, he’s began to hit his stride over the second half of the season and is in the midst of a six-race streak of top-10 finishes.
“It’s always good to back here in Salt Lake City,” said Tickle. “My results this year haven’t been as good as I wanted them to be, but I’m hoping to get on the podium and win races. Last year was fun being in contention for the championship, so I want to get back up top again.”
The first Monster Energy Supercross race inside Rice-Eccles Stadium took place on April 28, 2001, with 42,135 fans on hand to witness Ricky Carmichael capture his 13th win of the 16 race season en route to the championship. Since then, three other riders have stood atop the podium at Salt Lake City, including Reed, Villopoto and Kevin Windham.

Gordon Wins #85, Becomes 3rd All Time
Rory Mead Takes First Win at Can-Am Mammoth GNCC

Baylor Still Undefeated in XC2 Pro Lites Division - Photos by Ken Hill - News Release
Park City, Ky. (April 30, 2012) – New Zealand’s Rory Mead came into round five of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series as a silent sleeper, especially since he’s shown the ability to conquer courses with a heavy technical aspect. The Can-Am Mammoth GNCC pumped up the potential to throw some curve balls into the overall points race with a unique “old school” GNCC course that accompanied some of the most grueling obstacles this circuit has seen in a long time. Trail Boss Jeff Russell and his crew cut around 10 miles of fresh trail at the all-new Park Mammoth Resort in Park City, Kentucky and it was anyone’s game on the overall win, especially from the XC1 Pro division.

WMR/KTM’s Rory Mead got out front right away after following fellow kiwi Paul Whibley on the first lap. Whibley once again grabbed the $250 Motosport.com Holeshot Award aboard his AmPro Yamaha YZF450 and battled with Mead early on, but it wasn’t long before defending champ Charlie Mullins made his way through the pack from a bad start. Whibley and Factory FMF/KTM’s Mullins went back and fourth throughout the three-hour race, battling hard for the second place position. At times, the veteran duo would catch up to the leader and then Mead used the KTM 300 two-stroke to his advantage as he gained time in the tight rocky sections of the course. Mead’s win at The Mammoth marked the first overall win on a two-stroke since Nate Kanney’s performance at the 2008 Ironman. This was a big feat both for Mead and his two-stroke machine.
“I was pumped it was a good race! I got a good start but followed Paul for a few laps and when I got by, just tried to pull away. You can only go so fast out there in the rocks, though, you don’t want to go down there,” Mead said. “People were saying it wasn’t going to be that rocky and so I wasn’t sure if the two-stroke was the right choice but once we got out there and realized how rocky it was, I was pleased with it and the bike was good.

The FMF Power Point is a new obstacle this season and usually presents the roughest and toughest sections of the course, and this weekend it surely lived up to its name as riders struggled to power their machines up the rocky hillclimb section. Lapped riders became part of the obstacle through the gnarly rock section and riders soon found out that patience is a virtue in situations like that. But lappers didn’t seem to stop Factory FMF/KTM’s Kailub Russell as he picked off riders and moved through the pack, but as he made his way up to Shenandoah Honda/Offroad Champion’s Thad DuVall and AmPro Yamaha’s Jordan Ashburn, the ease went away and the trio put up a good fight for the fourth place position. DuVall was forced to pull over with about two miles to go when he realized his rear wheel wasn’t going to hold up to the finish line. After his crew fixed the wheel, DuVall went on to finish twelfth in the class, marking only the first time the West Virginia boy has finished outside of the top five this season.
Big battles were taking place just outside the top five action and those were between the brand-new Obermeyer Yamaha ride of Chris Bach and the JG Offroad/American Honda ride of Nate Kanney, who pushed each other back and fourth all day long. Both Bach and Kanney have had a rollercoaster of a season so far, but after a few minor changes recently, they seem to have a whole new level of confidence and enthusiasm beginning with respectable sixth and seventh place finishes in Kentucky. And
Factory FMF/KTM’s Cory Buttrick started off as a podium contender once again but by the halfway point it seemed like Buttrick had fallen off pace. It’s been said that Cory is still recovering from a previous injury that happened at round four.

It was an exciting day of XC2 Pro Lites action as F.A.R Husky’s Andrew DeLong and Husaberg/RidePG.com backed Jesse Robinson put in a hard fight against defending champ and current points leader Stu Baylor Jr. Baylor managed to put himself into the lead by the end of the race to eventually go on and claim his fifth consecutive XC2 win this season, but it wasn’t so easy for the South Carolina boy this time around. Robinson led Baylor for at least a couple laps and the two-stroke duo also had the overall lead in many points during the three-hour race. It wasn’t enough for an overall win for Baylor, but he managed a fourth overall by the end of the day. F.A.R Husky’s newest replacement, Nick Davis, came in fourth behind Robinson for his best finish of the season in his first race aboard a new bike and team.
Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University/Offroadviking.com riders Jed Haines, who came in fifth, and Brad Bakken in sixth, continued to put in consistent XC2 rides in Kentucky.
South Carolina’s Grant Baylor (KTM) once took home the Top Amateur Award in the PM race with 18th overall and the 250 A class win. Indiana’s Zach Nash ran in the top position for a majority of the race but Baylor put the hammer down towards the end and reclaimed the Top Amateur honors.
Masters A (50+) rider Randall Riggs returned to the top of the AM overall podium on Sunday, with Bowling Green’s very own local rider Eric Gill coming in second with the Super Senior A (45+) victory as well. Tennessee’s Mark Patterson finished second to Riggs in the Masters A, while also rounding out the overall podium position.
Indiana’s Michael Witkowski (KTM) once again topped the Youth overall, ahead of South Carolina’s Jonathan Johnson (KTM) and Super Mini (12-13) runner-up Kaleb Ward (KAW).
Round five of the 2012 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series heads to Springville, Indiana May 12 and 13 for the Limestone 100 GNCC. For more information, go to www.gnccracing.com.

Fermo, Italy MX1 GP - Video Preview

Honda Press Release
The Honda World Motocross team is now heading to Fermo, Italy this weekend for round three of the FIM World MX1 Championship, and we're pleased to offer you a video preview of the event. This includes an insight from Team Manager Lorenzo Resta, as well as riders Evgeny Bobryshev and Rui Goncalves, who give their personal views of the track.
Last year the Fermo race, which is the home round for the Honda World Motocross team, concluded the 2011 Grand Prix series. It wasn't the best outing for the team with Bobryshev struggling in race one and crashing out of the second along with teammate Goncalves finishing eighth overall. However, it did round off a successful season where the riders ended the year in fourth and sixth overall in the championship - Honda's highest result for many years. With the support from the Italian fans, and extra motivation with being the team's home round, both riders will be looking to increase momentum this weekend and come away with some strong results.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Robert Beats the Heat to Win in Surprise

Monster Energy Kawasaki - News Release
Irvine, Calif. (April 23, 2012) – Temperatures reached the triple digits in Surprise, Ariz., this weekend for Round 4 of World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) at Speedworld MX Park. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert took early control of both races, going 1-1 on the weekend in front of his hometown crowd. Despite finishing sixth on Saturday, teammate Bobby Garrison finished second on Sunday to claim second overall. Justin Soulé finished strong in third place Saturday, but could only manage eighth on Sunday and finished sixth overall. Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Gary Sutherlin completed Kawasaki’s sweep of the podium in third place. Hometown hero, Destry Abbott competed in his first WORCS race of the year finishing eighth overall. In the Pro 2 class, Team Green’s Justin Seeds got the early lead and ran away with the win.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Under the Tent
Taking Charge
In Saturday’s 60-minute moto, Robert got off to a decent start aboard his KX™450F and came around the first corner in fourth. As they headed into the off-road section, Robert knew he had to make his passes fast before losing too much time on the leaders. Before the end of the first lap the leader missed the pit entrance allowing Robert to fly by. The battle ensued as Robert was stalked by second place for three laps before building a gap. By the checkered flag Robert had established a 40-second lead.
“The track was really nasty,” said Robert. “You had to search for lines and really use the whole track to avoid the holes and chop. The heat was pretty intense. I live here so you think I would be used to it, but it’s really only been this hot for a week or so. Once I was in the lead I just tried to stay smooth and on the last lap the pit board said +40 so it that was nice to be able to cruise the last lap.”

No Sweat
Sunday’s moto would prove to be a true test as the riders had to endure 90-minutes on the beat up, desert course. For Robert it was déja-vu, when he saw the leader once again go flying off track on the first lap, handing Robert the lead, which he maintained for the rest of the moto. This time he would build over a minute lead on second place and finish a perfect 1-1 to take his second consecutive overall win. Robert now holds a 25-point lead in the championship.
“It was really nice to race so close to home for a change,” said Robert. “I think it made all the difference. I was able to go home Saturday night, relax and sleep in my own bed. Also, having all my family and people that I’ve grown up racing around was awesome.”

Adapting to Change
On Saturday, Garrison got off to a great start, but a few mistakes on the first lap set him back to eighth. Small tip-overs each lap kept him from moving forward until the last few laps. He was able to pass teammate Abbott in the endurocross section two corners from the finish to cross the line sixth. Garrison and the rest of the team made some major changes to accommodate for the track conditions on Sunday. Garrison sat fourth for the first half of the race until it was time to pit. Known for having the fastest pit-stops in the series, Garrison entered the pits in fourth and left in second place, showing the importance of a strong team. His second-place finish on Sunday also secured second overall for the weekend.
“Sunday went a lot better than Saturday,” said Garrison. “I stayed off the ground and although I didn’t get a great start I was able to push up towards the front. I had a really fast pit where I was able to jump from fourth to second. From there I just tried to stay smooth and endure the heat. The bike was awesome, we made some suspension changes for Sunday and that made all the difference.”

Strong Start
Soulé came out Saturday ready for battle. Starting second, he tried to keep pace with his teammate, but started feeling the effects of the 100-degree heat. Soulé was able to back it down and ride comfortably in third place without anyone challenging his position. With temperatures even higher on Sunday and lap times over nine minutes, it only took three laps before the heat became a factor. Soulé slowly started feeling the effects of the heat and began to slow. He would finish ninth to take sixth overall on the weekend. Soulé currently sits fourth in points.
“The track was choppy and slick,” said Soulé. “You really had to square up corners to avoid the chop. It was really fast which was nice because it helped cool us down in the 100+ heat, but it was still really tough to push in that heat.”

Showing the Kids How It’s Done
Competing in his first WORCS race of the year, Abbott was ready to show the young bucks how it’s done. He was shuffled back off the start, but quickly started making ground in the off-road section and made his way up to sixth. He would remain in sixth until the last lap when a bobble in the endurocross section allowed Garrison by. Sunday he got a great start aboard his KX450F and was second around the first turn. Knowing he didn’t have the pace of the leaders, Abbott settled into his own pace that he could run for the full 90-minutes. Abbott would eventually finish sixth on Sunday, for eighth overall.
“This was the first WORCS race I’ve done all year and I had a lot of fun,” said Abbott. “The bike was awesome, I got two great starts. I felt really good on Sunday. I was second off the start and rode solid to sixth. I had a lot of fun this weekend, my fitness felt great and my bike was awesome so it felt great to be back.”

KX Proof
Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green had a great showing at Speedworld MX Park. Rounding out a Kawasaki sweep of the podium was Sutherlin who went 5-3 on the weekend to finish third overall. After winning 250A on Saturday, Seeds dominated the Pro 2 class on Sunday, and Team Green’s Brandy Richards easily took the win in the Women A class.
“It was tough to lead out there,” said Seeds. “It was so choppy that I let second by and followed behind. We pitted at the same time and when I got some water on my back that really energized me. I was able to put some time between us and take the win.”

Triple Digit Temperatures
The heat was no joke in Surprise, as temperatures were over 100-degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. Many rider’s struggled with the heat and every lap at least one rider was in the pits trying to stay hydrated. In Sunday’s 90-minute moto, only eight riders were able to cross the finish line, all of which were Kawasaki-mounted.

Switching Gears
The next round of WORCS will take place May 19-20 at Racetown 395 in Adelanto, Calif. In the meantime, the Monster Energy Kawasaki’s off-road team will jump down to the KX™250F to compete in Round 1 of the AMA EnduroCross series on May 4th at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

2013 Kawasaki ZX-6R | Born Again | First Ride

Rules are meant to be broken, bent or otherwise thrown out the window. If they weren’t, well, Kawasaki never got the memo.
Rules are meant to be broken, bent or otherwise thrown out the window. If they weren’t, well, Kawasaki never got the memo. Case in point: Team Green’s 2013 ZX-6R, a bike that rips the middleweight-class convention to shreds by means of a 37cc displacement advantage. Anyone with a soft spot for Kawasaki’s middleweight platform and a decent memory will recognize the 636 moniker that goes along with the change; its (re)introduction comes just ten years after the launch of the original six-three-six. The ZX-6R’s design brief has been entirely rewritten for ’13 however, and two days spent riding the bike gave us a good indication of what that meant for the middleweight class: suffice it to say the other manufacturers are in for a rude awakening.

American Blake Young to Ride Attack CRT Bike at US MotoGP Rounds
AMA Superbike runner-up Blake Young will ride the Attack Performance CRT machine at all three US MotoGP rounds this year. The former Yoshimura Suzuki rider has signed with Attack Performance owner Richard Stanboli to race at the Austin, Laguna Seca and Indianapolis rounds of MotoGP, aboard the Kawasaki-powered CRT machine designed and built by Stanboli and his team.
The Attack CRT bike has been undergoing some major changes since making its debut at Laguna Seca in 2012, where it was ridden by US veteran racer Steve Rapp. According to Roadracing World, Attack owner Stanboli has modified the chassis to work better with the Bridgestone tires, and has altered the firing order of Kawasaki ZX-10R engine to more closely resemble a Yamaha R1 engine. Rapp failed to qualify at Laguna Seca, at what was virtually a shakedown test for the Attack machine, and finished 14th at Indianapolis, ahead of James Ellison on the PBM machine, and Aaron Yates on the GPTech CRT machine, scoring two valuable championship points.
