Arai recently unveiled the Signet-Q, a helmet based on the RX-Q “Ultimate Street Helmet” introduced last year but featuring the elongated fit of the company’s long-running Signet model for long-oval head shapes. The new helmet includes a number of features culled from the RX-Q, including the more aerodynamic venting system, 10mm-wider eyeport and redirected brow vents that duct air across the wearer’s temples. Inside the Signet-Q is a fully removable/replaceable/washable interior, which incorporates a Facial Contour Support cheekpad design. The new FCS offers the support needed in that area when wearing the hel- met, but is springy enough to make donning and removing the helmet easier. The design includes the 5mm peel-away cheekpad layer from the RX-Q, while the Signet-Q has an additional set of 5mm peel-away pads for even more adjust- ability, these in the temple area of the headliner.
