SCOOP SPY PHOTOS of the production version of Honda's Crosstourer adventure concept bike from November's Milan show undergoing final road testing
Looking to get its hand in the growing adventure-touring market cookie jar, Honda has been spied putting a production version of the Crosstourer concept bike shown at the Milan EICMA show last November through some final road testing. Unlike the 800cc Crossrunner that recently made its debut in Europe, the Crosstourer uses the same basic 1237cc V4 engine along with its ground-breaking DCT (dual clutch transmission) gearbox for propulsion. The chassis sports Honda’s single-sided Pro-Arm swingarm, with spoked wheels (including a 19-inch hoop up front) displaying the bike’s more “serious” off-road intent. An ABS sensor ring on the front wheel indicates that the bike will most likely come with Honda C-ABS that links the front and rear brake systems with the front brake lever (rear brake pedal use will only activate the rear brake).
