Sam Lowes and Vladimir Leonov (Yakhnich Motorsport Team Yamaha) were guest last weekend of Moscow's annual motorcycle exhibition, MotoPark. The capital of Russia welcomed Lowes with snow and freezing temperatures, a radical change in weather conditions from late summer's warmth of Phillip Island.
The always friendly and easy going young Brit visited the exhibition and met up with fans, as well as taking part in many autograph and photo sessions with his team mate Vladimir Leonov. Both riders spoke with visitors and guests of Yakhnich Motorsport's stand and awarded some competition winners with prizes.
Sam Lowes: "It was a surprise for me to find such a high-level motorcycle exhibition in Russia. Me and my team mate Vladimir Leonov did some interviews with Russian media, including TV and radio. There were a lot of visitors, a lot of interest in World Superbike and in our team and a good number of English-speaking people - all this helped me to understand this great country and the Russian spirit. I was really pleased of visiting Russia and also got a huge boost in terms of motivation for the upcoming round, so I am pretty sure that it'll help me to show some good results at Aragon."
