Production version already planned
KTM showed this prototype Super Duke R model at the EICMA show in Milan, and announced that development is already underway on a production version. The 1290 Super Duke R has an overbored RC8R engine with ride-by-wire throttle control, top-shelf WP suspension and a single-sided swingarm. Electronics include ABS and Traction control. Very little additional details were released, although it's clear from the attached specification list that this will be a fun bike. Torque, for example, is listed only as "very, very much," while top speed "depends on the rider’s courage and figure."
