Perotti takes trophy win in Triumph ParkinGO Series

podiocampionatomagnyThe Triumph ParkinGO European Series finished its opening season with the seventh round of the series at Magny-Cours. The outright winner of the year was Italian Fabrizio Perotti, who won three of the races and the young Italian has now the opportunity to participate on the Triumph Supersport bike in the European finale, which will be held at Albacete at the end of October.

Former European 250 GP champion Ivan Clementi won the French race with a strong performance, after engaging in a tough duel with Superbike, Supersport and Endurance stawart Matthieu Lagrive and Perotti, who finished second and third respectively, repeating their results from qualifying. Behind them, Salom finished in fifth, the Spaniard ending up second in the overall standings, followed by Giuliano Rovelli, third in the riders table.

Series winner Fabrizio Perotti declared: "I had a fantastic season, I really felt great racing in this challenge. I now have a great opportunity for my career: I will take part in the European finale, held at Albacete, where I hope to do well. Supersport is a whole new world for me, but with a little help from the team which today achieved another podium result, I think I can adapt quickly".

Giuliano Rovelli, the Triumph ParkinGO European Series organizer, added: "As organiser, I'm happy with the environment, it's a group of people keen on racing who rode with true sportsmanship, while as a rider, I had the pleasure to race on prestigious tracks in front of huge crowds who cheered for us".

Race winner Ivan Clementi was also enthusiastic about the series: "It was a beautiful experience, because this competition is really fun. Now that's what motorcycle racing is all about!".
